Henrik Henricksen's diploma for the Silver Honorary Medal presented to him by the French government after the 1909 Marseille incident. It reads: "French Republic - Acts of Courage and Devotion - In the name of the President of the Republic, according to the decree of November 15, 1901, The Minister Secretary of State to the Interior Department has presented a Honorary Medal in Silver of 2nd Class to M. Lühz Heinrick (sic) known as Henricksen, tamer of beasts residing in Hamburg. This diploma has been delivered to him to perpetuate in his family and among his fellow citizens the memory of his honorable and courageous behavior." The document is dated June 16, 1910 and stamp-signed by Aristide Briand, then the French Minister of the Interior Department (1910) — Document: Henricksen Archive
