International Circus Festival

The Golden Circus Festival has been created in 1984 by Liana Orfei, heiress to one of Italy's most important circus dynasties, and her husband, producer Paolo Pristipino. It is held each year in Rome, italy, during the Holiday Season, from right after Christmas through the first week of January. The Festival is staged at the Teatro Tendastrisce, a vast concert arena that belongs to Pristipino. The international cast of top-notch performers is judged by a pannel of personalities from the Italian cultural scene, who chose a single winner. Participants may also receive special prizes awarded by individuals and associations.
