Uzeyir Novruzov was born in Eysk, Russia, in a family of Azerbaijani origins. As a teenager, Uzeyir attended music school and unbounded his energy in "amateur circuses," the Russian equivalent of youth circus schools. He ended up, quite unnaturally, in a cooking institute.
