 Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, Johnny Peers learned the ropes of traveling show business at an early age, while working for his father who was a concessionaire at [[Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey]] Circus. His skills as a natural comedian let him to join Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey's [[Clown College]], where he graduated in 1969. He became a member of ''The Greatest Show On Earth'''s Clown Alley, where he worked alongside one of its star clowns, [[Lou Jacobs]], who became his mentor.
