Horizontal Bars
This very original act, with a an intriguing new apparatus, was created and staged by Nikolai Chelnokov for his circus collective in Moscow, with a group of competitive gymnasts. It was presented in 2002 at the Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain in Paris, where it was awarded a Bronze Medal. Created for one production only, the act didn't survive, but its concept, and especially its apparatus, would certainly be worth revisiting.
