=The Xinjiang Acrobatic Troupe

The Acrobatic Troupe of Xinjiang, in the Uygur Autonomous Region in the northeast of the People's Republic of China, was created in 1961. After decades of development, the Trope has produced many spectacular group acts that have won several gold, silver, and bronze awards in several international circus festivals and national and regional competitions. The Troupe has been commended by the Chinese Ministry of Culture for its excellence.

Major artists of the Troupe include Adili Wuxiuer, Anniwaer Maimaiti, Ruxianguli Aibaidula, Yu Tianyong, Zhang Jinfeng and Peng Tiekang. It made Chinese history on June 22, 1997, when the young funambulist Adili Wuxiuer crossed the Yangtse River over the Three Gorges, in 13'49" and established a Guinness World Record. The Uygur Autonomous Region Government has awarded Adiji Wuxiuer the honorific title of "King of the Upper Skies".
