Poster designed by Charles Kiffer (1902-1992) for Paris's Cirque Medrano. It refers to the circus's "new style"—a mixture of traditional circus acts and acts such as singers, comedians, and dancers, usually seen in variety theatres, who were the feature attractions of the second half of the show. This formula had originated in 1945 as the "Floor Show", but was not kept as a rule for each program. (1949) — Private Collection
