1931 monochrome reproduction of Une répétition au cirque Fernando ("A Rehearsal at Cirque Fernando"), oil of canvas, by Maurice Blum (1832-1909). This painting was exhibited at the Paris's Salon of 1874. It shows the construction(French) A temporary circus building, originally made of wood and canvas, and later, of steel elements supporting a canvas top and wooden wall. Also known as a "semi-construction." used by Fernando in late 1873 and early 1874 on the Boulevard de Rochechouart in Paris, before the circus building. (1874) — Private Collection
