Paris sous la neige: la rue des Martyrs, oil on canvas, by Hyppolite-Camille Delpy (1842-1910). The back of Cirque Fernando is seen from the rue des Martyrs, at the intersection of Avenue Trudaine and rue Lallier (on the right). The rue Viollet-Leduc, which was on the other side of the circus building, had not been open yet. The scene shows well what the neighborhood looked like in the early years of Cirque Fernando (1876) — Private Collection
