Clown

The fifth generation of a Spanish clown family, Totti Alexis was born on February 3, 1982, in France, during an engagement of his parents with the Cirque Pinder-Jean Richard. He made his debut in the ring with his father, Tony Alexis, in 1986 at age four at Circus Knie in Switzerland. His strong personality was already evident at that tender age, and he was hired to participate in a stage show, without his parents, in Eindhoven, in the Netherlands.

At age thirteen, Totti began to develop his very own style of comedy. He worked with his parents as an augusteIn a classic European clown team, the comic, red-nosed character, as opposed to the elegant, whiteface Clown. and then either as a whiteface clown – or a as a sort of straight man: It is wearing elegant tails or dinner jacket, with glasses and patent leather shoes that he felt the most comfortable to establish a good contact with the public. With a few adaptations, Totti’s character was born!

The result was a refreshingly different sort of clowning. Totti made his very first solo appearance in the Netherlands, at Arnhem, in 1995. He became soon popular with audiences everywhere and he went on to perform in some of Europe’s leading circuses and variety shows.

In January 2009, Totti married his long-standing partner, Charlotte, in the circus ring thus the solo act morphed into a duo, in which Charlotte was the whiteface clownGeneric term for all clowns and augustes. '''Specific:''' In Europe, the elegant, whiteface character who plays the role of the straight man to the Auguste in a clown team.. In time, the sixth generation was ready and waiting; their son Charlie made his debut in the ring at age two, on World Circus Day on April 2014 in Finland’s Sirkus Finlandia. In 2017, the family went on tout with its own show, ‘’The Totti Show’’.
